A huge tragedy upsets the Zamparini house. Armando, son of Maurizio, the former patron of Palermo, has died. The young man, who was only 23 years old, was found lifeless in the bedroom of his home in London, the city where he had lived for some years and where he had obtained his degree. The dynamics of death are still unclear.
The lifeless body was found late yesterday morning, September 30th. From the first reconstructions, it seems that the boy woke up regularly in the morning and that he subsequently fell ill. The housekeeper would try in vain to help him.
Maurizio Zamparini together with his wife Laura, Armando’s mother, immediately left for London. Armando was the fifth and last child, the only one born from the second marriage of the Friulian entrepreneur. The boy had been very close to the team in his teenage years: many of him remember him present with his father in the pre-season retreats of the team or present on the sidelines at training.
The news was then made official by the lawyers of the former pink president: “On behalf of Maurizio Zamparini and Laura Giordani, we announce the death of their beloved son Armando, which took place on Thursday 30 September 2021 at the age of 22. Armando passed away peacefully in his apartment in Mayfair, London. At the end of all the administrative formalities, Armando will be brought back to Italy by his parents and buried there ”.
