Palermo takes the field at the “Nereo Rocco” stadium in Trieste to face Triestina in the first national round of the Serie C playoffs. Silvio Baldini’s rosanero, seeded after the group stage, faces the club of the Friulian capital led by Cristian Bucchi in the first of the two scheduled matches, with the return match scheduled at the “Barbera” on Thursday 12 May at 20.30.

Yet another breakthrough by Valente on the right-wing serving Bunori in the middle; the number 9 of the rosanero enters by attacking the first post but does not hit the ball that arrives on Floriano’s left foot who scores his personal double. After doubling the rosanero, the referee whistles at the end of the first 45 minutes.

There are some substitutions before the start of the second half. Mister Baldini sends Damiani on the field in place of the yellow card Dall’Oglio; the hosts instead change Trotta and St Clari with Sarno and Giorico. The referee whistles, this time he beats Triestina, and the match start again.
At 52 ‘Rapisarda hits the crossbar after a perfect overlap. Brunori is served in the opponent’s penalty area in the 58th minute and after having protected the ball and skipped an opponent, he tries the conclusion in a door parade by the halberd defender.
